- I'm a native southwestern Pennsylvanian, growing up in a small coal mining down near the WV/MD border. Pittsburgh has been my home for the last few years. I spend my days doing professional development in modeling and simulation for local science and math teachers as well as other teachers across the nation. My goal is to get them to think differently, to use new tools to teach foundational concepts in new ways. In my infinite free time (HA), I play and sing Irish traditional music, hang out at Your Inner Vagabond in Lawrenceville, and work on my house, which is my love letter to the City of Pittsburgh.
